Backpacks



Available year-round

Looking for something interesting to do with your children in downtown Peterborough? Stop by the Peterborough Town Library or the Historical Society and check out our Discover History Backpacks. The backpacks are available for you to sign out and there is no charge for using them.

Each pack has three books with a New Hampshire "flavor", puzzles, and a 12-page walking tour filled with games, activities and ideas to stretch your imagination. The packs are designed for parents and grandparents to use with elementary age children. Open up local history to your family with an afternoon of fun!

The packs were made possible by a generous grant from the Monadnock Community Foundation. The Historical Society is also very grateful to Eastern Mountain Sports for donating four Boulderado backpacks used for the project.

Stop by the Historical Society and check them out ~ we’ll see you out touring downtown!

**NOTE: Classroom teachers are MORE THAN welcome to stop by, sign one out, and use it with your class. Rental cost for classroom use is $25.00
