The Peterborough Museum

The Peterborough Museum features exhibits of early American furniture, decorative arts, pewter, and Peterborough industry. The Robbe Family Kitchen: Peterborough 1785 looks at daily life in town during the early years of the new Republic.

Our Peterborough Gallery, a timeline history of the town from settlement to the present, is on view in the main entry of the Historical Society.

The museum is open Tuesday – Saturday,

10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Adults- $3, children under 12 and Historical Society members- free.

Special group tours of the museum, Phoenix Mill House and District #8 Schoolhouse are available. Email us to schedule your group.

105 Great Things

at the Peterborough Historical Society

February 1 - May 23, 2008
 

The new exhibit features a collection of 105 ordinary and extraordinary objects ranging from an 18th century high chest to a 21st century digital archive. The 105 Great Things tell the tales of how people lived, worked, learned, built a community, and remembered their past. The exhibit includes a scavenger hunt that makes a visit fun for the whole family!

Admission: $3 per adult, children (under 12) and PHS members- FREE!
